Your life can change in the blink of an eye. We are creatures of habit and chances are that what you are doing right now is what you did yesterday at this same time and what you’ll probably be doing tomorrow at the same time, too. We usually get up at the same time, eat the same foods, do the same thing every day and be around the same people. Same ole, same ole. Day after day.
Until one day, one moment, everything changes.
Change can come faster than the blink of an eye.
We get laid off.
Our spouse leaves us.
We get rejected.
We accept a job in another country.
We get denied a loan.
We decide to leave or stay in school.
You win the lottery.
Your car gets sideswiped and you weren’t wearing your seatbelt.
You fall down the stairs.
Your house burns down.
Kind of morbid to think about, I know, but even though we like to think that not much changes in our lives, the reality is that change can happen and does happen instantly. Sometimes we are prepared for it and sometimes we’re not. Sometimes we choose to change and sometimes it’s forced upon us.
Sometimes the change is for the good (woohoo!) and sometimes it’s for the bad.
Yes, external factors can change our lives and there’s not a whole lot we can do about that. Crap happens to everyone.
But, more importantly, we can change our lives in the blink of an eye. We can decide right this second to decide to change our lives for the better. We do this by changing our thoughts. Changing our thoughts leads to changing our actions. Changing our actions leads to making different (hopefully better) decisions about your life.
Changing one thing in your life turns to changing other things in your life.
Pretty soon it’s not same ole, same ole every day.
Your life can change.
